I’m thrilled to share that I was featured in the Weston Mercury on 24th July 2025 as part of their coverage on the newly launched Poetry Trail along the North Somerset coastline. It’s an honour to be part of such a beautiful initiative that celebrates poetry in public spaces.
A new poetry trail has opened along the North Somerset coastline after being inaugurated in Weston.
The trail features 11 poetry plaques, including two in National Trust coastal areas.
The plaques showcase poems from The Poetry Field, a new book by local author Anthony Keyes.
The collection covers a variety of themes, including specific locations, historical narratives, sport, and the seaside.
Mr Keyes shared that his work is deeply influenced by a range of sounds and emotions.

The trail was inaugurated in the Weston-super-Mare town square by the town's mayor, Cllr Martin Williams, and CIlr Mike Solomon, North Somerset Council's cabinet member for culture, leisure and open spaces.
A spokesperson for Mr Keyes said: "The North Somerset Poetry Trail is a wonderful showcase of Anthony's work, and we hope everyone enjoys the trail and visiting the locations where the poems have been inspired by.
They continued: "The trail also offers a way to explore more of the North Somerset coastline and enjoy some lesser-known Spots.'
The poetry trail was devised by Mr Keyes, who was inspired by his love for the area.
